#StrengthsFinder #Belief by #MotherTeresa. In #Singapore we are blessed to have an above average affluence when compared to the many countries that might have a large portion of their population below the poverty line.

Meeting the needs of the hungry, sick, poor and homeless is a cause that very few would find comfortable as their JD aka Job Description

Yet sometimes when a great need is sounded, a champion answers - Mother Teresa

To me, it is her strong values of selflessness, unconditional love, taking care of the hungry, sick & poor that brought her to that place of global significance. Even though she never wanted any of the fame (people with Belief seldom look for that in life). They look for meaning, purpose and a cause to wake journey on.

She has a beautiful quote that I feel is apt when it comes to Belief:
At the end of life we will not be judged by how many diplomas we have received, how much money we have made, how many great things we have done. We will be judged by “I was hungry, and you gave me something to eat, I was naked and you clothed me. I was homeless, and you took me in.

Resonating with the StrengthsFinder definition of Belief: If you possess a strong Belief StrengthsFinder theme, you have certain core values that are enduring. These values vary from one person to another, but ordinarily your Belief StrengthsFinder theme causes you to be family-oriented, altruistic, even spiritual, and to value responsibility and high ethics — both in yourself and others. These core values affect your behavior in many ways. They give your life meaning and satisfaction; in your view, success is more than money and prestige.

I wonder who would be the next champion of StrengthsFinder Belief for the next generation.

At #CatholicJuniorCollege #Singapore to discuss how #StrengthsFinder can continue to benefit staff and students. Shared with their vice-principals the awesome feedback on the previous StrengthsFinder session and how to move forward in making #CJC a strengths-based school.

Saw this huge 🔥 #flame made up of many other smaller flames with handwritten wishes and it reminded me of the StrengthsFinder Talent #Belief.

A portion of the definition of Belief: “These core values affect your behavior in many ways. They give your life meaning and satisfaction; in your view, success is more than money and prestige.”

Some of my friends ask me why I still do training for schools when I can concentrate on corporate training instead. The usual phrase they say is “Corporate is where the money is…bro”. They are correct. But “…success is more than money…”

When I see the lives of the students get impacted from the work we do, I am witnessing lives being changed. When everyone was pointing to them their weaknesses, I point to them their strengths. When affirmation is scarce, I give it generously. They leave the StrengthsFinder training knowing that they are super TALENTED, UNIQUE & GIFTED!

This small flame that was ignited in their hearts would hopefully fan into self-confidence and success in their own life journey.

How I wish someone would tell me when I was a student that my ‘always last minute’ weakness was actually a clue of my Adaptability talent and teach me how to harness its strength💪. And now I have that opportunity to tell the students just that

We have a slogan at Strengths School™

⚡ 'Ignis Infitina Potential’ which means Ignite Infinite Potential

I will continue this strengths movement in Singapore and Asia till every student’s flame has been sparked💥
