After celebrating National Day and seeing what #Singapore has become in the last 5 decades, I’m hopeful for the next 50 years.

One that my son and daughters can find their place of meaning and belonging. So as we Singaporeans just watched the sunset of our 50 year journey, we anticipate every sunrise of the next 5 decades to be one that continues to be filled with

“happiness, prosperity and progress for our nation”

*My son Caden wanted me to take this particular shot of him and his sister, holding their scooters and looking yonder into the sunset.

StrengthsFinder Connectedness represented by 2 Singaporean symbols. I’m actually quite surprised that the government is giving every household a “fun pack” which contains 2 erasers, toys, torchlight and many more items.
One eraser shows our nation’s flag and the other a Lion head. Why Lion? The word Singa in Singapore means Lion in Malay.

StrengthsFinder Connectedness is about being connected to something bigger than yourself. Instead of an individual, you prefer the notion of belonging to a community. The community notion could that you see yourself as a student of a school, a member of an cause or a staff of a company. In this case, not a singular but a Singaporean.
I am feeling proud to be connected to this amazing country and my home Singapore.
